Project Shield – 30,000 Masks
Project Shield was an Emergency Response project from Rotary District 5320. The project is intended to replicate in other rotary districts and fulfill community and front-line medical requests for PPE.
PacMin in Fullerton is providing the face shield supplies at $2.00 per shield. The shield supplies can be purchased in lots of 200 at $45 per box for shipping.
According to the Rotary Project Shield website, “The CEO of St. Jude’s in Fullerton connected us with a local provider of medically approved face shields who is willing to provide the kits to assemble at a cost of $2 each that we can rapidly distribute to hospitals, senior facilities and others at great risk. They will also be branded with the Rotary logo!”
Rotary Project Shield is aiming to produce 30,000 masks to supply to healthcare workers. The masks will be branded with the rotary logo and distributed in Orange County.
Volunteers can come in starting Friday April 17, Saturday or Sunday and choose from two time slots: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
