This past Friday Fountain Valley residents came out to cash mob Heavenly Vintage Nursery and Tio Flacos Tacos. Fountain Valley is home to many small businesses, neighborhood allies and small-town vibes. During Covid-19 small businesses are struggling and three women knew how they could help.
Lynn Seeden, Fountain Valley Living Magazine, Anne Marie Jones, Fountain Valley small business owner and Gigi Hart, Cash Mob Facebook Administrator, have put together a weekly cash mob focusing on small businesses in Fountain Valley. Join in on the fun this Friday and stay tuned for the secret location!
Heavenly Vintage Nursery
Fountain Valley Cash Mobbers showed up to Heavenly Vintage Nursery around 11 a.m. for the first stop of the day. Notable community members among the mob were Fountain Valley Mayor Cheryl Brothers, City Manager Rob Houston and Assistant to the City Manager Maggie Le.
“Small businesses are super important to what makes part of our community great. We know everyone is suffering right now. If we can team together and show our support with $20 bills and our presence we can all get through this together and make it to the other side ,” said City Manager Rob Houston.
Local business owners Michael and Stephanie Hohertz came out to support their community for their second cash mob. Leaving with more than $20 worth of plants and a smile on their faces, Michael and Stephanie own Grocery Outlet and have rallied behind Fountain Valley and involved them self in community events since opening their store.
“We’ve been super stoked to stay open and to be doing well so now we want to come out and support the other businesses that are just now getting to open back up. We’re really excited to see them continue,” Stephanie said.
