Pick up is on Thursdays from 11 a.m. till noon. Residents can sign up onsite if they had not previously registered with Meals on Wheels OC congregate meal program.
Last week 800 meals were distributed! Visit mealsonwheelsoc.org for more information, They also accept donations and volunteers.
Traditionally, Home-Delivered Meals on Wheels are intended for homebound older adults age 60-plus who are not able to cook for themselves.
During the COVID-19 outbreak, Meals on Wheels is working with local cities to deliver frozen meals to the homes of older adults who do not have someone who can pick up meals for them at the Senior Center.
