This past Friday Fountain Valley residents came out to cash mob Heavenly Vintage Nursery and Tio Flacos Tacos. Fountain Valley is home to many small businesses, neighborhood allies and small-town vibes. During Covid-19 small businesses are struggling and three women knew how they could help. Lynn Seeden, Fountain Valley Living Magazine, Anne Marie Jones, Fountain Valley small business owner and Gigi Hart, Cash Mob Facebook Administrator, have put together a weekly cash mob focusing on small businesses in Fountain Valley. Join in on the fun this Friday and stay tuned for the secret location!

Hey locals, Fountain Valley is gearing up for a cash mob to support our local businesses. Go to the secret location, spend $20 and leave with goodies! Fountain Valley loves our mom & pop shops and to show it the city is organizing cash mobs to support struggling businesses through Covid-19. Fountain Valley has done 20 successful cash mobs in the past with this round being led by Lynn Seeden, Fountain Valley Living Magazine photographer, and Ann Marie Jones, Managing Partner at Manufactured Home Works.

Bioluminescence has made its way to Orange County shores for the first time in three years and today residents can see it just in time as OC beaches reopen under state approval. The phenomenon made its way onto Orange County shores in the last week of April and has been attracting residents to beaches after sunset. Supervisor Lisa Bartlett made a Facebook post earlier today saying Orange County received approval from the state to open county beaches for recreational activities.

Project Rotary Shield set up at Freedom Hall in Miles Square Park today for a weekend full of volunteers assembling face shields for healthcare workers. Project Rotary Shield and the Fountain Valley Rotary club, Rotary District 5320, are aiming to make 50,000 face shields to be donated to local hospitals. The project has spread across the states as well as internationally with volunteers in Tijuana assembling masks.

Flying in from the East Coast Gizmo looks warm in our Southern California sun. Ray's glare off the screen of my video messenger and when the picture clarifies all I see are cheeseburgers.
